BUSINESS PROFILE
Philippine National Bank (PNB) was incorporated on July 22, 1916 to engage in the general commercial banking business.
PNB provides a full range of banking and other financial services to corporate, middle-market, small-medium enterprises and retail customers, as well as the national government, government agencies, local government units and government-owned and controlled corporations. PNB's principal commercial banking activities include deposit-taking, lending, trade financing, bills discounting, fund transfers/remittance servicing, asset management, treasury operations, and comprehensive trust and retail banking services.
PNB, through its subsidiaries, also engages in a number of diversified financial and related businesses such as remittance servicing, non-life insurance, merchant banking, stock brokerage, leasing, and other related services. The company's subsidiaries include PNB Capital and Investment Corporation; PNB Forex, Inc.; PNB Holdings Corporation; PNB Securities, Inc.; Japan-PNB Leasing and Finance Corporation; Tau Portfolio Investments (SPV-AMC) Inc.; Omicron Asset Portfolio (SPV-AMC) Inc; Tanzanite Investments (SPV-AMC) Inc.; PNB International Investment Corporation; PNB Remittance Center Limited; PNB International Finance, Ltd.; PNB (Europe) PLC; PNB Corporation, Guam; PNB Italy, SpA; PNB Austria Financial Services GmbH; and PNB Global Filipino Remittance Spain, S.A.
